About Grants.com

An honest answer about funding

Grants.com exists to give small businesses and nonprofits a clear, realistic view of the funding paths available to them.

Every year, millions of organizations search for grant money. The uncomfortable truth — which many sites in this industry avoid saying — is that traditional grants serve a narrow slice of them: primarily nonprofits, researchers, and specific programs. Most for-profit businesses searching for grants will never receive one. What they can access is a wide range of legitimate funding, including government-backed SBA lending, equipment financing, lines of credit, and more.

That honesty is our product. Our free funding readiness assessment takes about two minutes and tells you where you actually stand: which funding paths fit your profile today, which do not, and what would need to change. Qualified businesses can choose to be connected with vetted funding specialists. Everyone gets access to our grant research tools, and our Pro membership adds an always-current grant database, deadline alerts, personalized matches, and monthly funding reports.

Who we are

Grants.com is operated by Hodie LLC, a Washington registered company, and has been under current operation since 2024. Troy Peterson, Owner/Operator, leads the business. Michel Lima, Lead Developer, built and maintains the platform, including the assessment system, grant database, and search technology.

How we make money

We earn revenue in three disclosed ways:

  1. Compensation from funding partners when users request to be connected and a partner serves them.
  2. Grants.com Pro memberships.
  3. Affiliate partnerships for services such as business banking and credit building, clearly disclosed where they appear.

We never charge for the assessment, never charge to apply for any grant, and never sell your information to list brokers.
